What is staff education?
Staff education varies. We believe that education is important in child care staff; however we also place emphasis on staff who have a background of working with children and their families and a heart for creative learning.
Are staff CPR/First-Aid certified?
Yes. All staff are certified in CPR/First-Aid.
How are children disciplined?
Redirection and time-out are used as discipline tools.
What curriculum is used?
We use Learning Beyond Paper (LBP), a nationally-recognized early childhood curriculum, to prepare all children for developmental milestones in each age group from infants to pre-kindergarten. It is 100% digital and imbedded seamlessly with the Procare online app, giving
everything teachers need to provide high-quality instruction for infants
to pre-K at their fingertips. Parents are able to see weekly lesson targets for children on their Procare Connect app. LBP allows children to effectively learn through exploration and hands-on experiences. This curriculum is fully aligned with the North Carolina Foundation for Early Learning and Development.
Unfortunately, we do not currently provide sick child care for enrolled children.
Medication is administered according to Medication Administration policy guidelines. The Medication Administration form must be completed by both a physician/pediatrician and parent/legal guardian.
Yes, a $100.00 (per child) non-refundable enrollment fee is charged at the beginning of enrollment.

The center is closed for major holidays including:
We are a part of the USDA Food Program, which requires us to offer a certain standard of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack including milk, juice, fruit and vegetables. A copy of our 6-week menu is available.
We accept payments via credit/debit card through our online Procare Child Care Management pro

Yes. Fire drills and other emergency drills are regularly conducted.
Please contact our office for more information about the type of subsidized programs with which we partner. We do not currently offer subsidy through Pitt County DSS. However, we do participate in education-based subsidy programs within the local community colleges.
Part-time child care (less than 30 hours/week) is not available at this time.
We operate from 6:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. All children must arrive at the center by 9:00 a.m.
Is transportation available to and from my home for care?
Yes. When a spot becomes available, parents from the wait list are contacted for a tour of the facility. Parent Orientation is provided during the initial tour of the facility allowing parents to ask questions and observe basic interactions among the children and staff. Parents are also given the opportunity to meet with staff, view classroom setup, learn of the center’s philosophy and requirements, and review the parent handbook.
We value the involvement of grandparents and other family members. However, to ensure streamlined and clear communication, we require parents or legal guardians join our waitlist. This provides clarity when spots become available.
No. We are located on the campus, but are a separate, non-profit, licensed child care center. We neither require church attendance nor provide preferential enrollment based on church membership.
